Spida Everitt visits The Long Paddock
Recently The Long Paddock played host to Spida Everitt and his team from The Great Australian Doorstep (5.00pm Saturdays, Channel 7Two).
And what a full on, jam packed, great few days we had showing Spida around.
Day One in Hay – Shear Outback , fishing on the Murrumbidgee, Dunera Museum, The Long Paddock Sculptures, Bishops Lodge, The Headless Horseman Sculpture – finishing with a few drinks at the Royal Mail Hotel Booroorban.
Day Two in Deniliquin – The famous Shod sculpture, hired a bicycle from the Peppin Heritage Centre to ride around town, visit to the Deniliquin Ute Muster site, kayaking on the Edward River – finishing with a few quiet drinks with Frank White at Big 4 Parringa.
Day Three in Mathoura and Moama – Stop to see the Drover and Horse sculpture before heading to the Mathoura Bird Hide in the River Red Gum National Park , then on to Echuca Moama to visit the Great Aussie Beer Shed before a ride on the PS Emmylou.
Spida was so impressed with what The Long Paddock had to offer that there will now be one and half whole episodes on his trip down The Long Paddock – Cobb Highway Touring Route.
Sign up for our newsletter or keep an eye on the site and we will let you know when the episode will be on air.
