Inaugural Long Paddock Cattle Drive announced

And the bush hath friends to meet him, and their kindly voices greet him

In the murmur of the breezes and the river on its bars,

And he sees the vision splendid of the sunlit plains extended,

And at night the wondrous glory of the everlasting stars.

For generations, poets, writers and tourists have dreamed of joining Clancy of the Overflow out on his “sunlight plains”. Now The Long Paddock is making this a reality for those willing to take on the life of the drover. In May 2015, over the course of two weekends, 20 guests will take part in The Long Paddock Cattle Drive, a truly unique droving experience.  The all inclusive experience, will see guests on horseback  move a mob of cattle between the small townships of Booroorban and Wanganella.  It is hoped the weekend will not only see guests riding improve, under the expert tutelage of Richard and Kerry Aquisto, but that they will leave with an appreciation for a way of life that has remained largely unchanged for 150 years.
