Great spots for a great shot

Posted on June 28th, 2011

Remember the “old” days when taking a photo was as much good luck as skill? When you never quite knew if you got everyone in the photo or if you cut off a few heads!  With digital cameras all the excuses have gone …if you point and shoot enough you are bound to get a good image – especially if you are on The Long Paddock.

The touring route offers some amazing locations to capture some truley unique shots. From the world renowned Mathoura Bird Hide to the flatest place in the southern hemishpere on the Hay Plains you are just about guaranteed a WOW shot everytime. Some of the other spots our visitors recommend include the Edward River Walk in Deniliquin, the Headless Horseman Sculpture near Boorooban  and Mount Manara between Ivanhoe and Wilcannia.  But it is not just landscapes! The Long Paddock has a wealth of historic buildings and locals whose faces tell a story.

If you are travelling The Long Paddock and get a great shot that you would like to share we would love to show it off to our visitors. There is nothing like a great image to encourage people to get out and explore.  To send an image simply email info@thelongpaddock.comauu
