Deni Ute Muster 28 and 29 September – featuring Kelly Clarkson
9 May 2012
In a major coup for the Deni Ute Muster, festival organisers announce today that Kelly Clarkson is set to headline the 2012 line-up.
Considered to be the perfect choice by organisers and festival goers alike, Kelly will top the line-up for a thrilling weekend of UteMuster entertainment.
John Harvie, Festival Director – Deni Ute Muster, is over the moon to be welcoming Kelly to the stage this year. John said, “Kelly is
an amazing performer and a genuine crowd pleaser. We’re thrilled to be welcoming her to the muster, and to Deni.”
In a story about “Mr. Know It All” — the first single off Kelly Clarkson’s new album Stronger — Entertainment Weekly calls the multiplatinum
singer and songwriter “the samurai of shooting guys down.” Indeed Clarkson has earned herself millions of devoted fans
thanks to her feisty, straight-talking lyrics. Clarkson’s hits such as “Miss Independent,” “Since U Been Gone,” “Walk Away,” “Never
Again,” and now “Mr. Know It All,” are bold empowerment anthems, which she sells to the fullest with her soulful, powerhouse voice
and down-to-earth relatability.
Kelly’s acclaimed career took off after winning the inaugural American Idol competition in 2002. Her first album was released in
2003, and now, five albums and countless top-ten hits later, Kelly continues to wow crowds.
Part of Kelly’s appeal is her ability to cross over. Her vocal range is outstanding, and her style isn’t easy to pigeon hole. In fact, she
became the first ever artist to top the Billboard Hot 100 in the Country Songs, Adult Contemporary, Adult Pop Songs and Dance/
Club Play Songs charts, no mean feat considering the divergent audiences these categories appeal to.
It’s this ability that Karla Notley, Marketing Manager – Deni Ute Muster, was keen to make a point of. Karla said, “Kelly’s talents are
broad ranging, just like our festival goers. Many people love that she won Academy of Country Music Awards for Vocal Event of
the Year and Single of the Year this year. But other people tap into her rock-chick or soul-sister side. We think she’s just the right
performer to set the stage on fire.”
Kelly Clarkson tops the 2012 bill at Deni Ute Muster’s Saturday night gig, and will be supported by a host of other great acts. John
urged people to book tickets now. He said,
“Kelly’s popularity will see tickets sell fast this year. Tickets are now on sale, so come along to a fantastic weekend of
Karla added that a new Deni Ute Muster website has just launched, and will improve user experience when purchasing tickets.
She explained, “It’s a user-friendly site and easy to navigate. Drinks tickets can also be purchased online prior to the Muster plus,
there’s now an option to pay off their tickets in three instalments.”
“There are also more great artists to be announced for this year’s line-up so stay tuned.”
With the announcement that tickets are now on sale, festival organisers are preparing for a huge turnout and yet another fantastic
Deni Ute Muster.
